The Mission:
To advance the students, faculty and communities in and around HBCUs as related to criminal justice issues.

The HBCU Criminal Justice Collective is committed to uniting Historically Black Colleges and Universities to advance excellence in criminal justice education, research, and practice. We empower students, faculty, and communities through collaboration, scholarship, and advocacy, preparing the next generation of leaders to drive meaningful reform, promote equity, and ensure justice for all.

Our Goals
1. Increase scholarly publications by HBCU Faculty.
2. Expand criminal justice teaching with faculty exchanges, interactive classrooms, improved methodologies, internships, study abroad and externships.
3. Provide in-person, virtual and hybrid criminal justice training and professional development.
4. Develop policy responses to reduce the crime.
5. Implement evidence-based programming to reduce crime.
6. Promote dialogue by giving voice to the most underserved communities.
